Green benefits for our customers
- Sales representatives are well versed on the Green qualities of the products we sell and can advise customers on how to reduce their carbon footprint while saving money.
- Our vendors/technology partners are the largest names in the copier and printer business and have well-established Green practices. They have developed energy star rated machines that utilize less energy and supplies that are environmentally friendly.
- Recycled cartridges – We provide re-manufactured toner cartridges and have secured a vendor that provides a quality product. Additionally, our equipment vendors provide recycling programs for their toner cartridges and toner containers.
- Managed Print Services and Document Management programs – Managed Print Services looks at consolidating printers and copiers in offices, and Document Management focuses on electronic management of documents instead of paper files. Both can substantially reduce a customer’s carbon footprint as well as reduce costs.
- Pure Water Technology drinking water systems provide an environmentally friendly alternative to large bottled water cooler systems. Bottled water companies place a drain on the environment in the processing, transportation, and disposal of their products. Pure Water Technology’s point-of-use drinking water systems connect to existing water lines.
Green behind the scenes
- Equipment packaging – We recycle all cardboard and Styrofoam.
- Not a wasteful company – We believe in using existing supplies before ordering new. Throughout our company small decisions, like using old stationary up before ordering new designs, add up to a reduction in waste going to the landfill.
- Reusing and repurposing – We donate old furniture and copiers to local organizations. As an example, when we refurnished the training center in our corporate headquarters, the old furniture was donated to a local church.
- Salvage equipment – With equipment we cannot sell in our markets, a vendor is utilized to find a market or buyer for the equipment, be that equipment parts or intact units.
- Internal recycling – Our employees have paper recycling waste baskets at their desks and recycle aluminum cans.
- Employees are encouraged to duplex print and print documents only when necessary.
